“nous sommes arrivées à Zagreb vendredi dernier. Nous avons porté notre attention sur le fait que les habitants de novi Zagreb plantent des petits jardins aux pieds des immeubles. Il est intéressant de remarquer comment les habitants considèrent les limites de leur propriété.
Nous voulons réaliser une action artistique à côté du cinéma Zagreb avec les déchêts végétaux du marché aux fleurs jouxtant la zone. Ce jardin éphémère témoignera de la transition entre le statut public et privé du lieu.
Notre action prendrait place dans la zone délimitée par les quatre colonnes se trouvant sous le porche couvert, entre le café et la librairie. Elle se situe en face de l’ancien cinéma Zagreb.
Ce jardin restera en place pendant 2 heures.

Hello,
We are two young artists from France. We past our diploma of the School
of Fine Arts in Rennes, Bretagne. We work about public place in the city.
We are doing a one month trip through the ex-Yugoslavia, we stop in
each capital and try to observe the rearrangements that appear because of
the transition. We don't focus only on urban plans, but also on the way how
people use their city, in their specific manner.
We arrived in Zagreb last Friday. We paid attention of the way that
people make little gardens in public spaces at the entrance of buildings in
Novi Zagreb. It is interesting to notice how the inhabitants consider the
limits of their territory.
We want to make an artistic action made of flowers from the market next
to the old Zagreb cinema, a sort of ephemeral garden, to signify the
transition between the public and the private status of this area.
This covered place, where we want to do our action, is between the
coffee shop and the book shop, and is in front of the ex Zagreb cinema. The
exact place that we want to occupy is between the four columns in the middle
of this area. We would put flowers and leaves, as the way of a garden, and
let it for 2 hours. We will clean the place after our action.
We do not want to take any political position, and we won't gather any
people for this action. We are only two people working on that project.
It would be very good if you can answer before 02.00pm on the 10th of
July, because we are leaving on the 11th to Sarajevo. We would like to
realize the project in the afternoon of the 10th.

Notre jardin éphémère s'est transformé en performances, où l'une posait des fleurs sur le sol, dans l'intention d'occuper tout l'espace, tandis que l'autre ramassait les végétaux à mesure de leur dispersion.
Le geste répète ici l'appropriation des espaces par les habitants de la ville, et en soulignant la brièveté.
